Also from the previous thread I see the instructions require the use of an key to activate the programing codes.my keypad only has numbers and the cancel button on the line with the 0 there is no or on the last line with the 0.A hardwire default of the panels memory which we can tell you how if needed or trying to guess the installers code.Defaulting the panel, if successful, will erase ALL programming and set the installers code back to 5555.Youll need to reprogram the account and phone numbers of your monitoring company.
Im guessing that they wont give them to you and want to charge you for a service call to come out and reprogram your panel. Its possible that they might have even locked out the panel so defaulting it will just erase everything except the installers code. Or you can try guessing by pressing 8 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003, etc, etc, 9999. Dsc Impassa Er Code Reset Manual For YourWebsearch using the phrase ADT installer code (were not allowed to post it on these forums because ADT fusses if we do.) I assume that you already have the installer manual for your hardware. Some versions are very specific about how many zones are being monitored, others arent. To get the benefit of the additional devices, the monitoring center needs to know if new zones have been added. Also, changing system settings with the installer code could void your warranty with ADT for the rest of your system. If you want the system monitored by ADT you have to pay what they ask, thats what you get by signing a contract with them and thats why they wont give you the IC. If you wanted to pay the cheaper price you should have installed the system yourself and monitored it with a different company. I remember quite a few years ago when the original Nintendo came out, there was a big stink about the cartridges only costing a few dollars to make, yet they were charging 40 or 50 bucks for them. This is the same situation, while the sensors might only cost 20 or 30 bucks to make, thats not the only cost when you have an installer come to your house and put in a system. Your paying for their experience in setting up the system as well as a warranty on the system and the sensors you buy from them. If you have the knowledge to set the system up yourself, then you can buy sensors off ebay and install them yourself and save the money. If you send an alarm in to them, on one those points that you just added, they will see it but it will only come in as a zone number. ![]() They will probably mention the contract youve signed with them and figure out a way to charge you more. Additionally, I can tell you that AT treats all undefined zones as a panic alarm. With this being said, the newer alarm formats (SIA CID) like your panel uses, the reciever will read the alarm as Burglar Alarm Zone 12, they just wont have area defined. You would be best advised to test the sensors with AT to see how they come in. Alarm reporting has come along way, I was impressed when I upgraded to a DMP panel and discovered that the DMP serial3 format reports the zone with the alpha programming and will also report which keypad sends a panic alarm. Can anyone tell me if the control cabinet (referenced in the attached thread) is the box with the battery or the key pad I can not open the keypad and I can not find any chip on the board in the battery cabinet that has a chip with a code like PC If it is the battey cabinet, where is the chip located on the board.
